You did everything correctly in adding a new type.

The problem is 'mun_rollercoaster_1' thru 6 do not have a cost value in the xml file and this plugin can only buy items that have a cost value.

but for some items you need to complete chalenges or goals to get it but so far i have been getting lvl 3 community buildings lvl skyscrapers... this is the best plugin so far i think

This plugin uses coins to buy items.

It will not use your cash.

Once the first item fails, the rest will also.

Remove mun_bankroll_business_school, and try again for the rest.
